Spend the Night Outdoors BETWEEN ÆRØ AND LANGELAND Back when the ferry service between Ærø and Langeland was in operation, a popular roundtrip involved going from Svendborg to Ærø then Langeland and back. Although the regular ferry service between the two islands is now closed, a new service provides you with the opportunity to experience the beautiful roundtrip of South Funen, Ærø and Langeland on an old schooner – and you can bring your bikes. From 29 June to 25 August 2017, the schooner Meta makes the trip from Rudkøbing on Langeland to Marstal on Ærø every Thursday morning at 8am – and the reverse trip is made at the same time every Friday morning. As this crossing is purely for transportation purposes, the sails will not be set, but nevertheless, it is quite unique to be aboard an old wooden ship. TICKETS AVAILABLE AT WWW.BILLET.DK AT 150 DKK FOR ADULTS AND 100 DKK FOR CHILDREN UP TO 12 YEARS. Over the last couple of years, 40 new architect-designed shelters have been set up along the coasts of the South Funen Archipelago. Located in scenic surroundings by the water, the shelters are the perfect opportunity for spending a night outdoors on your hiking, biking, or kayaking trip. The shelters are far more comfortable than traditional open shelters, and can be booked in advance. VISIT WWW.BOOKENSHELTER.DK TO LOCATE AND BOOK THE SHELTERS.
